Saben & Melissa Marathon Day 2012

Saben & Melissa Marathon Day 2012

Wow. May was a big month at Outright. The governor visited, the Queer and Allied Youth Summit was a huge success, we just hosted the Pre-Marathon Pasta Dinner, and cheered on Team Outright at the KeyBank Vermont City Marathon.

And apparently, pigs flew and hell froze over because I (me!) ran the 5k leg of a 5 person relay team AND raised enough money to sponsor five youth to attend Camp Outright!

Summer is nearly here, and we could use your help. Do you have some extra time? We have data entry projects, filing projects, and cleaning projects that could use volunteers. We’re also hosting a training for queer identified adults that want to help facilitate Friday Night Group, our signature social and support group for queer youth. The training is in Burlington on June 17th. If you can help, email Faith and she’ll set you up.

Have a little more time to give at the end of the summer? Camp Outright needs more volunteers! We already have nearly 60 campers registered and need more staff to make it happen. Email Adam for all the details, or visit the camp website.

We couldn’t do any of this amazing work without you! Your time, donations, and support make it possible for us to meet the needs of Vermont’s queer youth. Thank you.

In Solidarity,

Melissa Murray, Executive Director
Outright Vermont
