Hurray for nearly spring! Today, the sun is shining and Outright’s new Director of Education, Dana Kaplan, started work. Dana will be very busy catching us up on numerous requests for education work across VT and planning the Queer and Allied Youth Summit. Outright also welcomed our new bookkeeper, Naomi Keepin and said goodbye to longtime Director of Operations, Michel DuBois.
I know many of you are waiting to hear details about Camp Outright 3.0 and Outright’s relationship with YWCA Vermont. We promise to update soon. In the meantime, check out youth board rep Patricia’s remarks here:
“Even just the existence of Camp Outright advocates for these ideas [the YWCA-VT mission]; a camp where youth, regardless of demographic, can go and simply be themselves in a way that they sometimes cannot even at home. …  This is freedom and dignity for all. This, my friends, is the mission of the YWCA.” – Patricia

Thanks for all you do to make it better for Vermont’s queer youth.
In solidarity,
