There are a million web sites out there.  We’re often asked which ones we like for particular subjects.  Here’s a list of our favorites.

  • GenderSpectrum.org is an Oakland, Calif.–based nonprofit dedicated to creating a gender-inclusive environment for all children and teens.  Their website contains a lot of material under “Topics,”  a huge number of links to web sites under “Resources,” and stories from youth and parents under “Stay in Touch.”  Founded by Stephanie Brill, co-author of “The Transgender Child: A Handbook for Families and Professionals.” https://www.GenderSpectrum.org
  • Findings from The Family Acceptance Project’s research into how parental, caregiver and family reactions contribute to their lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) children’s risk and well-being have contributed to a large number of publications.  Links to that research may be found at https://familyproject.sfsu.edu/publications
