Youth Social & Support Groups

Find Your People & Queer Joy

Your identity is a superpower - a source of inner strength - that will power you through life. You deserve to experience the joy of being your authentic self and to connect with the pride of being a part of a larger community full of artists, creators, makers, advocates, activists, leaders, and more.

For parents or caregivers, get answers to your questions, connect with other families, find resources, and find belonging. Groups are FREE and facilitated by trained volunteers or staff who provide support and resources and foster a welcoming environment and fun time.

When you attend a group, whether processing life challenges or playing board games, you can expect a safe and supportive environment where you’re seen and celebrated for who you are.

Groups are all scheduled on EST.

Friday Night Group (FNG)

A fun, social gathering for LGBTQ+ and questioning youth 13-19.

Friday Night Group (FNG) is a great way for you to find your people! It’s a social and support group for LGBTQ+ and questioning youth ages 13-19. Thanks to community partners and a local pizza place (or four), dinner is provided at in-person Friday Night Groups. (Ask us about vegan options.)

Themed Super Social FNGs add a little sparkle to the regular meetups, like Halloween costume extravaganzas and the occasional open mic night!

FNG has met every week since Outright began in 1989 - holidays and snow days included. FNG has since expanded to meet in multiple locations across the state and online. No matter where you are, you should have the opportunity to be among friends - and to be seen and celebrated for being your amazing self!

When and where

Check out our calendar and follow us on social media for up-to-date information on Friday Night Group, including schedule changes and upcoming Super Socials!

Facilitators will share their skills and interests - whether youth are into D&D, knitting, learning about space or practicing creative writing, there’s somebody here who shares your passion.

When and where

Trans Group is held online on the second and fourth Thursdays from 6-7 pm. Youth can join Virtual Trans Group from anywhere, but should have privacy during group to help ensure everyone feels safe and secure. Check out our calendar and follow us on social media for updates on when we meet.
